Creamed spinach

Ingredients

50 g water
500 g or a large handful of fresh spinach, washed, any tough stalks removed
30 g butter
Salt & Pepper to taste
Grated parmesan cheese (optional)

Preparation

  1. Place water, salt, pepper and spinach into mixing bowl and cook 8-10 minutes, at 100ºC on speed 2, using the spatula to push down the leaves at first.
  2. Drain the spinach thoroughly in a colander (you can save the liquid for stock if desired).
  3. Place drained spinach and butter into mixing bowl and cook 1 minute, at 100ºC on speed1.
  4. Mix 20 seconds on speed 3 until a creamy consistency. Season to taste. Serve sprinkled with parmesan if using.
